Mensa

SEMantics crossword archive

Here we give some past puzzles to try.

The following are the crosswords that I compiled for the British Mensa South East England regional newsletter SEMantics. All of these have a 13 × 13 grid. (Note: I have not put the "IPHSEM" part against each PDF download link here, to save space.)

To convert from SEMantics issue number to date of issue, see the table of SEMantics issue numbers by month.

Note: I only offer here puzzles set by me. The copyrights in all puzzles composed by other people that appeared in SEMantics are the property of those people, and no information is offered here about whether those puzzles are available now. Generally, half of the puzzles used each year have been those created by my Mensa cruciverbalist colleague Steve Plater. I have most often used his puzzles for odd numbered issues and mine for the rest, though that can vary at any time as a few of the numbers below show. Gaps in the following table are where the corresponding puzzle was one set by one of the other people who has created an occasional puzzle, in which cases I generally took the opportunity of a month off from creating them myself.

For a few puzzles marked with icon the solution is available; click to download their PDF file.
